Starbucks manager blows up!
So, I was just minding my own business, covering the impending doomsday of the River Oaks Shopping Center, when a shift manager at Starbucks threatened to call the cops on me. Seriously! My photographer and I were working near the big Starbucks at West Grey and Shepherd, waiting for an interview with council member Peter Brown. That's when the young man ran out of Starbucks, and started yelling at us, telling us not to shoot the store, or he'll call the cops. A few minutes later, we were interviewing a lovely couple who just left the Starbucks about our story when out comes the guy again. This time, he interrupts our
interview, accuses me of harassing customers, and then says "That's it, I'm calling the police!" before storming off. Dude! I'm Starbucks best customer inside the loop! I'm addicted to soy lattes, and I've even shot stories inside some Starbucks, NOBODY has ever been rude. Anyway, we ignored him, continued to work on my story, and went live for our 11 a.m. newscast. Afterward, I went inside the Starbucks and nicely asked for the young man's name. The lady behind the counter said that she couldn't give it to me because of "corporate policy." Please! Sounds like someone didn't want me to know. I just want to say that the guys who work at the Buffalo Speedway Starbucks and the Midtown Smith Street Starbucks are the best! As for West Grey, I'll stick to the small Starbucks on the south side of the street!

Didn't the station do a story about someone getting a purse ripped off at this location?

Is this the same one?

Maybe that guy's name is Weingarten. The only reason I would go to that store location is because of the drive through. Now that there is a Starbucks in the Heights, we don't have to go to the West Gray location at all!

Having been in political vlogging myself, i've seen some of this! The guy probably had nothing better to do...

He needs to get a grip. You've given Starbucks plenty of free publicity over the years. Perhaps the rumor is true that Starbucks wants the center down, and 3 Brothers out.
