Ch. 13 Dragon Boaters beat Tindall & Foster!

On Saturday, a ragged group of KTRK friends, reporters, producers, production guys, and even our morning meteorologist Casey Curry participated in the annual Texas Dragon Boat Association's festival in downtown.  Now, unlike the grizzled competitors of Continental, El Paso, and other lofty corporate groups, we at Channel 13 just one hope: don't finish last! Simple, yet profound.  During our first race, we finished second in hour heat, coming ahead of a group from Lee High School.  During our second race, where we only had one other team in our heat, we actually won! We beat the team of Tindall and Foster, those hard working attorneys! See our video and photo slide show below.  Ted Oberg was our drummer, who tried to use "positive reinforcement," Casey Curry made sandwiches, and the rest of us tried not to embarrass ourselves.  We are boat number 2 in the video!
