Jones drawing a challenger
Having recently finished up an unsuccessful bid for State Rep. District 134 race, it looks like a young politico is willing to take on another big challenge. Carlos Obando didn't pose a serious threat to State Rep. Ellen Cohen during his last foray into politics, but he's hoping for a different set of circumstances this time around.
Apparently, Obando has decided to take on At Large Council Member Jolanda Jones. That's a lofty goal, considering Jones is an At Large incumbant, and she's not going anywhere. To be sure, people are already lining up for the expected vacancies of two other At Large members. Council Members Ronald Green and Peter Brown will soon be leaving their posts, and folks are already jockeying for position in those races. There are at least three "potential" candidates for Brown's seat, and last time i checked, he's still there.
Of course, the bigger issue right now... who will win District H?

Oh, and Oliver Pennington is running for District G. Let the games begin!
