Sign Vandals target Ronald Green
Even though the city of Houston's elections are non-partisan, the very old fashioned political trick of damaging signs is alive and well. Overnight, someone stuck "Republican" stickers all over the campaign signs of Controller candidate Ronald Green.
What makes this ironic is that his two opponents, MJ Khan and Pam Holm, are Republicans. Green, meanwhile, is a Democrat. In a technically "non-partisan" election, this shouldn't be such a big deal. However, Green thinks it's a political dirty trick. We hear some Peter Brown signs got the same treatement.
Then again, we are getting close to election day, and it's just a sign of the times!

Sources tell me a couple of people in a Toyota sedan with a Parker bumper sticker have been seen defacing several Locke, Brown, and Green posters... Parker again with her nasty games.

I heard that Sue Lovell and Annise's people have targeted Ronald and Peter for some odd reason. I guess Sue and Annise aren't the angels they make themselves out to be.

Is that what your "sources" tell you Candice. Remember when we went out and tore up all those Stephen Costello sign last month. You seemed to like that.

I heard that Gene Locke campaign staffers troll blogs and write ridiculous lies about Annise Parker. Sources told me that! I guess Gene Locke is the slimy politician some people say he is.

I think Candice is Jose Soto who splits his time vandalizing signs, commenting on blogs, and dressing up to look pretty with Gene Locke.

Give me a break. We all know that if anyone is attacking signs of Democrats its the Republicans. Stop turning fingers towards some sort of Democrat conspiracy. If anyone is attacking Peter Brown signs, its probably disgruntled Republicans or Roy Morales team.
Why so quick to point at Parker? Last time I checked she was doing pretty well without having to attack Brown signs. I am sure with $2.7 million of his own money, he has no problem replacing those signs.

I would hope that any reasonable registered voter would not take the vandalism accusations seriously. Annise Parker has won her last six races because of her consistent and steadfast commitment to her constituents and City.
If any vandalism did occur, I am positive it was not anyone from her campaign or on her behalf. This type of political strategy is unacceptable and counterproductive. I trust that Annise Parker and her campaign officials would not condone nor tolerate such activity.

I wonder if Morales is "stealing" signs this go around, by not paying his printer like he has done before?

Its this time of the year when we get to choose and voice for candidates of our choices to the city council. It is very imperative and critical of the choices we make.We all are busy in putting our two cents on mayor race and for some reason ignoring second most important position in the race CONTROLLER - our watchdog supposedly controlling the finances of the city of Houston.
Unfortunately we have two candidates Mr. Green and Mr.Khan and my opinion dont favor either of them reason being both gentelmen have shaddy characters. We still have to choose lesser evil.
Mr.Green has a red flag from IRS on his tax returns.Lets not forget he has a lien on property by IRS.I fail to understand what kind of error or misunderstanding could erupt filing your taxes. Now he is supposed to maage our city's finance.Thats scary...in it?
Mr.Khan - His ties with notorious SHEIKH of Adult video store owner speaks loudly of his character.Khan was the man behind appointing SHEIKH to sports board authority of city for few dollars on his campaign fund.
Most dangerous issue is KHAN ties with extreeme organization of Pakistan JAMAT ISLAMI.Head of this organization visiting few years back in our city was khan's personal guest and staying at his house. These are the people who are fighting and killing our soldiers in pakistan and Afghanistan.
Lets not forget the tragedy of Forthood.A responsible U.S. Army officer supposedly an educated doctor responsible for killing innocent men and women of our army.
This is the time we need to be careful in choosing the candidates.
Lets think about it!!!!!!!!!!!
Houstonian Wake UP.
