Annise Parker makes history
Houston made history last night. It became the largest US city to elect an openly gay Mayor. Annise Parker focused on bread and butter issues to beat opponent Gene Locke. There is a lot of national attention on this race. Log onto abc13.com for the details. I will have a complete write up later today.

A reprobate for mayor can't be a good thing. One more reason why I'm glad I don't live in Houston.

We were told during the election that we were not to look at the color of someone's skin or the sexual orientation - those things do not matter.
That's exactly what I did - I looked at the message and I did vote for Ms. Parker.
Then, not 2 minutes after being elected what did she do? She made the entire sexual orientation thing the main topic. Throwing all that lesbian, gay, bi-sexual crap out there as a main topic.
Here's a news flash for out one term mayor - you cant have it both ways. If Daffy Duck is the only person running against you next time, I'm voting for Daffy.

Boy oh boy, I bet that crazy right-wing Mike Sullivan is feeling foolish today! Supported Locke and publically spoke out against Annise Parker. As if that wasn’t enough, he threw Jolanda Jones under the bus... needless to say, Parker and Jones are both winners and will be sitting next to Sullivan for the next two years on Council.

You need to make history because it has a great support. A woman's honor and deserves our appreciation
